“Birthday Dinner; Fine Dining
Style”
Reviewed September 24, 2012
The Broker is one of Denver's
older and very famous restaurants. It has been here in all the forty
plus years I've lived in Colorado. This place is four star and not
cheap. But you will always get good value for price. Average cost
per person is from thirty-five to fifty dollars. The meal includes
salad, appetizer, and main course. Desert is a little bit extra but
you may not have room after the fine fare you have for your main
course.
When I had my birthday here
several years ago we made a point of eating in the vault. The Broker
was built inside a former bank site. The vault requires reservations
but gives an extra bit of flair to your dining experience.
The restaurant is centrally
located in downtown Denver. It is easy to reach by both car and
public transportation. Patrick_W001 via TripAdvisor

My girlfriend (now wife) and I
made Friday reservations during 5280's restaurant week. Our
reasoning for choosing The Broker was well thought out. The Broker
had an incredible 5280 menu in comparison to other Denver
restaurants on the 5280 list that we HAD NOT been to. As we have
been to most all of the other steak houses in Denver, The Broker was
a check box we had not been to yet. So we decided to go and made
reservations.
Our experience was really great
beginning to end. I found a great parking spot half a block away,
which started off our night. The weather was great. The night was
just special, we had romance in the air and were both excited for a
night out.
We walked inside and two valet
attendants made an effort to greet and welcome us. I really enjoyed
that the restaurant was still located beneath an actual modern day
and very beautiful bank. The entrance set the stage and feeling for
what was to come. Four Stars , Andrew W. via Yelp 11/12/12

I came here with a friend who was visiting from
out of town. It was so cool! The vault was really neat looking and
it was decorated so fun with a 20's feel. The waitstaff was super
friendly and attentive. The food was delicious!!! We each had
steak which came with a salad and a side dish and we had a cocktail.
It was so reasonably priced and honestly tasty as can be. It was
quick to get your food and a cozy atmosphere.
They also have some great lunch
deals that seem wonderful if you work downtown. They given do
mystery murder shows along with including complete dinner. It as
well looked fabulous to try. We were sad we missed that due to my
friend not being in town long.
I will definitely come back as
it was a pleasant experience. Great food. Great pricing. Beautiful
historic decor. I can imagine having an event here or group meal
would be so much fun as well. 5 stars. Love it. Susan E. via
